Thursday with a free exhibit opening and conversation with photographer and essayist Keron Psillas called "Loss and Beauty: Creating Solace in a Land of Infinite Sorrow." The photo project, inspired by the Hannelore Brenner book "The Girls of Room 28," tells the story of a group of Holocaust survivors who found healing power through writing, art and music. This year's third edition of the Jewish Literary and Cultural Arts Festival, presented by the Memphis Jewish Community Center, features a variety of artists and authors presenting discussions about their work.
